Scorpions - 1982-04-28 - St Austell, UK (SBD) flac

Scorpions - The Coliseum, St Austell (UK) 28th April 1982 (Soundboard)(Ex+ Recording).

This is a recording I received in a postal trade some time ago, and as I'm now listening to this great band
once again I'd thought I'd share this on here and as far as I can tell this hasn't been on here before.

I'm not sure if this is a soundboard recording or a radio broadcast or just an awesome audience recording.

It is from a senstaional period in Scorpions history, and the track list is fantastic.

These are the original notes that came with it:

First of all I'd like to thank whoever recorded this and to "datman8" for sharing
this absolute gem of a recording with the larger community.

Make no mistake that this recording is far from perfect, however with some remastering
by someone who knows what they are doing, this could sound like an official release.

As it stands the sound is 8/10ish or Ex+ mainly because, the Vocals are
low down in the mix.

With a tweak here and there on a graphics equaliser you can get this sounding awesome.

Anyway support the band by buying their merchandise/cd's etc. They are on their farewell tour, and I for one will
miss them.  They have been in my life since I was a teenager and their music has got me through some tough situations in my life.

I saw them on tour a couple of years ago first as a double A act with Judas Priest, and then the
following year when Uli Roth made a guest apperance, and they were tremendous.

Share freely but never sell and don't encode to MP3 unless for personal use.

Rob Zombie - 2013-11-17 - Corpus Christi, TX flac

I got to Concrete Street Amphitheater early to grab a beer and a hotdog. I wanted to
be close to the entrance, so I literally drove inside a large bush and parked there.

Why would Rob Zombie want to play Corpus Christi, TX. There is nothing here.

The first thing I noticed was a fetid stench of death. My hotdog had a turd
aftertaste. I quickly figured out that next door were millions of gallons of raw
sewage. The main stage was 100 yards from the municipal sewer plant where the
excrement of 350,000 people rots in giant holding tanks. The sea breeze normally
pushes the putrid smell away but tonight it blanketed the audience.

There is an old cemetery on a hill across the venue where deadbeat fans watch the
gig without paying. The graveyard had a bunch of skanks and drunken idiots
desecrating graves, driving and parking on them. I was hoping to see cadavers rise
and punish the retards like in the movies.

I’ve attached some aerial photos so you can see the layout and how close the nasty
tanks are; one failure and Rob would drown in it.

He conjured up awesome songs. The makeup looked good, full of infected sores
(probably real since he was basically swimming in the vat of shit a few yards away).

A Zombie concert surrounded by skeletons, ghoulish aromas, and noxious gases…what
more can you ask for?

Lineage--> ZOOM H2N> 4channel max sampling 48kHz/24bit, 1.25 gain, comp

>DIME. I didn't do any EQ. This is my unadulterated Raw file. No fade in or fade
outs. Nothing was deleted.

Halfway thru, I moved up to get away from an old hag with bad breath asking for smokes.
My dumb luck it can never be a hottie. Didn't want to mess with the volume and risk
ruining the recording. I kept a close eye on the peaks. The right M/S channel clipped
a couple times. The other three channels where under 0 DB and never clipped.

At the beginning of Sick Bubble Gum, Zombie goes into an amazing 3-minute tirade
complaining about people playing with their I-Phones instead of rocking.

During the guitar solo, Zombie jumps off stage to gather bras from a bunch of girls
flashing their tits. He put the bras on the microphones and guitars.

I didn't record Korn (played after Zombie) because the stink was making me vomit,
flies were getting out of control... went home to shower and sniff cinammon sticks.

Location --> 40 feet in front of the right speaker bank. Venue was 80% full.
Crowd was enjoying the show -- were mostly subdued. The light arrangements, smoke,
lasers and props were phenomenal. Standing room only, there was no quiet spot anywhere.

I'm not familiar with these guys, but I think I saw them at a festival in the summer of '09. Not sure, though. They were decent, though I could do without the growly stuff. Growly's okay, but I found it pretty distracting here, out of place. Ah well. This was a co-headlining show with DevilDriver, and the crowd cleared out pretty well before Trivium played. Maybe other people find the growly business distracting here, too? I don't know. No more rambling.

Sound's decent.

When I worked in a record store a long time ago, I got a promo of this band's first album (Wikipedia tells me this was almost exactly 10 years ago) and thought it was decent. They were pretty fun live, and they were definitely the crowd favorite of the night with far more people watching them than Trivium later.

Sound's decent.

Edited in Cooledit Pro 2.0 > Split using CD Wave editor > WAV to FLAC using traders little helper.

Recorded by me on the second day of the Download Festival.

I positioned underneath one of the speaker stacks that was alongside the sound and lighting tower in the venue.

The weather throughout the day was crap, windy and raining, which resulted in some slight phasing at times and a touch of noise from the wind and rain on the odd occasion. But heres the recording, theres a sample in the first post for you to make your mind up if you feel its worth downloading or not, so be sure to check it out before deciding. One thing this Download festival taught me is that I need to get some omnis.

I'm not too familiar with Mastodon, so if the set is not 100% correct then please let me know.

I hope you enjoy the recording, but please respect my wishes by not converting or distributing in a lossy format.

Gojira - 2013-11-15 - Aragon Ballroom, Chicago, IL flac

Aragon Ballroom
Chicago, IL

Taper: darktrain
Equip: Schoeps MK41's> Actives> Naiant Tinybox> Sony PCM-M10
Location: FOB, DFC

Aragon not the best sounding venue in Chicago by any means(In fact I can't stand the sound in there, there just isn't a good spot that I have ever found) and the sound guys really struggled with the mix all night but especially during 4Arm and Gojira, although seems like the "dialed" it in a bit better roughly halfway through Gojira. Not a fan of them but figured there are a few of you who would want it.
